"La Noche de Frida" serves as a community fundraising dinner, shining a well-deserved spotlight on local women chefs, artists, and community leaders. Much like Frida Kahlo refused to exist in her husband’s shadow, we refuse to allow the extraordinary contributions of the women of Westwood go unnoticed. This year, we proudly honor three remarkable individuals: Aalycia Rodriguez, our 2023 resident youth artist, Norma Brambila, Westwood Unidos program director, and Daisy Rocha Vasquez, senior aide to Council President Jamie Torres.
Guests attending "La Noche de Frida'' will be treated to a delectable mole feast expertly prepared by talented local women community chefs. The evening will be complemented by a captivating danza mexika opening ceremony, live music, and an inspiring video series dedicated to honoring the exceptional women we celebrate. By participating in this unforgettable dining experience, attendees will not only delight in an evening of cultural celebration, but also provide invaluable support to Hecho en Westwood and its impactful work within the community.
When: Friday, July 21st, 2023 from 6-9pm
Where: RISE Westwood Campus, 3738 Morrison Rd, Denver, CO 80219
