Westwood community partners are hosting a BIPOC Mayoral Forum to provide the Westwood and Southwest Denver community with the opportunity to directly engage with some of the BIPOC candidates for Denver’s 2023 Mayoral Election. Community members will have a chance to ask candidates questions and discuss Westwood/SW Denver priorities.
WHEN: Friday, March 24th, 6pm-8pm
WHERE: Re:Vision's RISE Westwood campus at 3738 Morrison Rd, Denver, CO 80219
Re:Vision, a food security non-profit in Westwood, and Hecho en Westwood, a collective of Latinx/BIPOC businesses in Westwood, are bringing together Westwood nonprofit partners to host an all-Spanish mayoral forum for the communities of SW Denver. The Latinx community of Westwood possesses unique skills that should be included in discussions impacting our city, especially in the selection of our next mayor. For an election as important as this, neighborhood-specific opportunities to share our thoughts and concerns with candidates allow our communities to actively participate in Denver’s growth - says Mariana del Hierro, Executive Director of Re:Vision.
