Please join The Empress, D3 Arts, Cultura Chocolate, The RISE Westwood Collective, The Westwood Creative District & Re:Vision in celebrating the life of Frida Kahlo for the 8th annual Frida Kahlo: A Celebration of Life & Resistance Art Show. This year we will be adding a dinner series inspired by Frida Kahlo and will be shifting the focus of just honoring the image of Frida Kahlo to honoring her beliefs on political and social ideas of justice, feminism, anti-capitalist/imperialism, decolonization, and freedom of expression. Each dinner will feature local community leaders and focus on community related issues around social justice, immigration, Black Lives Matter, and feminism.
The dinner series will be a community focused fundraiser that includes four parts, featuring local professional and community chefs sharing their favorite family dishes and why Frida Kahlo inspires them. The dinners will take place outdoors surrounded by Re:Vision's urban gardens. To ensure the safety of everyone, we will have limited seating available and be selling tickets by the table to help ensure parties are able to sit together and maintain proper social distance from other groups. Proceeds from this event will support the local community in Westwood including the chefs, D3Arts & the Westwood Creative District, Re:Vision, the RISE Westwood Collective and local community members. Ticket prices will also help support the ticket cost of local community members invited to take part in the event.

Due to COVID-19, the annual art show that takes place on the RISE Westwood Campus will be a virtual art show put on by D3Arts and the Westwood Creative District.
