D3 Arts presents "On a Sunday Afternoon", a NEW monthly event that will be held every 4th Sunday in Westwood!
Families and community members are all invited to celebrate the tradition of Cruising in a fun and safe environment where they will enjoy live music, spoken word performances, local vendors, and community resource tables provided by local businesses and organizations in Westwood.
For this first "On a Sunday Afternoon" event we will also be providing FREE healthy food to our attendees and giveaways!

HISTORY
Our ancestors used cruising as a powerful form of artistic and political expression that built resilience and resistance in our communities against a society that continuously suppresses the creativity and pride of People of Color. Most Importantly, Lowriding is founded on the values of community, support, and family. In Southwest Denver, the history of Cruising stems back multiple generations and continues to this day. Colorfully airbrushed and pinstriped cars showcase powerful images that honor our rich Mexican indigenous ancestry while promoting unity and cultural pride.
